Comparison

In this picture, I saw the tower and imagined it without it. I liked the idea and since we had to take an object out of a picture, I took out the tower. With the Cloning tool in Photoshop, I took it out. I found it looked quite natural.

Comparison

See the difference? It is very simple. I used the cloning tool to make this difference. I took out the wrinkles and made it less clear, that this man hasn’t shaved in a while. Doesn’t it look better? With the Cloning tool, I pressed Alt and held it down and selected a good looking spot, then let go of Alt and pressed on the spot that I wanted to correct.

Flower Vector Graphic

This shape is very basic. It's an easy shape to make in Inkscape.

Man&Lady VectorGraphic

This is not a very easy picture to make in Inkscape. I had to make it from seeing a picture of these two Charactures.

Skull and Flames

This skull I also made in Inkscape with a tutorial. I found it quite easy. The only hard part to make nice was the flame.

This is a ticket I designed in Microsoft Publisher. The aim was any ticket design and I made this.

Vector Graphics-Cartoon Head

This is my cartoon head Vector Graphic. It is just a simple head, so if you don't like it, or find it too simple, it's not as good as possible. To make it I had to watch a tutorial on Youtube first. Then I made it. First, I made a circle for the head, then, i made two more smaller circles for the ears. To make them one, I selected them all and pressed the union button. This made them one. The hair was pretty simple to make. I duplicated the whole head, and dragged the new one down to the bottom of the page. With the Bezier tool, I drew a hat-like from on the new heads top. I selected it all and intersected it. Now, the only part left, is where the head and the "hat" were connected. Put the new hair on the head which is still there. I played around with the hair nodes and changed the hair color and it came out like this. The mouth and nose are also made with the bezier tool. I added an earing (piercing) to make it a bit "cooler" for this guy.

Vector graphics-simple

This is a heart that I made with Inkscape. It is a vector graphic. It is a very simple form but isn't as easy to make as it looks. First, I watched a video tutorial on Youtube, showing how it works. Next, I worked. I started by making a simple circle with the circle ellipse tool. Next, I made the format nodes visible. I turned some into corner nodes. With these, I played around. It came out like this. This shape does not have any specific technique.

I called this picture Wanderweg because that is what is written on the sign. It means walking path in German.

Something that I really like about this picture, is that it has these effects that come with it. For example in the top, right corner, is a bit of a branch. I like it because it makes it less plain and makes you look more closely at the picture.

There is actually an effect with the light: The sign itself is in shade because of the trees. The background is clearly lightened up by the sun. I was very happy when I noticed this because it just is pretty funky like that. I like it more like this. It's nice.

Another effect that I like in this picture, is that there is a cloud in the background. Only one, pretty cloud. It’s perfect because again, it makes the picture less plain.

If you haven’t noticed yet, the sign is taken crooked. It’s not the picture turned a little. The sign clearly isn’t standing straight. That was an effect that I added on purpose.

It is probably my favorite picture because it is so simple and to me still a nice picture. The angle, background and extras like tree branch make it perfect.

It represents the school because it is the sign on the path next to the school. It also reminds me of hikes and walks and those are some things that we do on school trips.

What I think of Copyright

What I mainly like about copyright is that the music, art, movies etc. are actually protected for the makers. If copyright were not an official law, people would start using the works in which a lot of work was put in and like that, they wouldn't have to work as much. Of course there are bad things according to me. Even though there is the law of copyright, people just take pieces of work for their own, for example, Vanilla Ice stole the intro beat from the song Under Preasure by Queen. They even used it in the whole song! The only time I find it ok to take the work is if they use Fair Use. Like this, everybody has a chance to use something that they like. Although, the people must like it if they take the work and use it. It shows that people like the art. But still, they didn't put an efort in making it and still it' s in their work. All in all, I'm happy that there is copyright to defend the makers works.

Logo 3. I chose this logo because it could represent quite a lot of things. I liked it so I tried out with it. It represents the three different classes 6, 7 and 8. It also represents how everybody takes their own path to make it through the year. At one point they might be at the same place but then they split again. When they meet it is maybe friendship.
I like the shapes that the lines have and how they come together. I don’t really like that it looks like a chemical sign.

New ZIS logo

Logo 4. I chose this logo because I liked how the three crescents connected. There is also extra space for the word ZIS. It shows three the classes as one in the school year. I like the three crescents together. I can’t really think of what I don’t like.

Logo 2. I chose this logo for the sports in ZIS. I found it and found it very good. It shows how there is a ball that could be a tennis ball or a basket ball etc. The two lines show how the students go around the ball and learn throughout the year how to do the sports.
I like the idea of the lines going around the ball throughout the year. Also there are two lines that look like the nike sign which fits to the sports.
I can’t find something I don’t like about this one either.

New ZIS logo

Logo 1. I chose this logo because I found it a nice and also pleasant logo. It looks like it goes around the school year. To me it also represents the three school years of 6th, 7th and 8th graders. When the shape starts at the top, it shows how some students enter the school earlier than others.
I like that it is not a whole circle and it has an oval form. This makes it less boring.
I am actually very happy with this logo and I can’t think of anything I don’t like about it.
